Street artists believe that art belongs to the public. This “Street Anatomy” is so captivating, because it is the furthest removed from the medical world. A growing number of street artists are vibrantly broadcasting anatomy to the public in a vast array of styles.
Anatomy in Typography
Like humans, typefaces have anatomical features that describe the different parts of a letter such as arms, legs, spine, eyes and ears. Artists have taken a literal comparison by creating letters from anatomical parts and even dissecting them to reveal the anatomy underneath the skin of a serif and sans-serif.

Tattoos and the subject of anatomy have a lot in common. Both inspire a sense of awe and a tinge of discomfort. Combine the two—making the internal external—and the reaction is mind-blowing.
