Forget Me Not, 2007

Here are some lovely works of art by Susan Jamison.  Her egg tempura paintings of the female figure juxtipose imagery of science, floral patterns and nature.  The hot pink pattern symbolizes feminity, whereas the plants and animals refer to cultural stories like Snow White. She uses medical illustrations for the head portion to create the idea this female is in a dream like state.  Take a look at her other work here!
