Holy moly, am I ever sad I didn't find these and buy a pair before they sold out. This has to be the coolest pair of shoes I have seen in a while.

"In part of the PROJECT(RED), created by U2 lead singer Bono and Bobby Shriver to address the growing epidemic of AIDS/HIV in Africa, Converse launched a new initiative to both benefit the project and the commemoration to Converse’s 100th anniversary. The initiative, Converse 1HUND(RED), will see 100 new interpretations of the classic sneaker by 100 chosen artists/designers. Among them is design #12 by the L.A.-based Dr. Romanelli. Part artist, part designer, the self taught Darren Romanelli’s unique re-interpretations of each project, the combination of hard to find vintage pieces along with updated silhouettes, in addition to his attention to details, granted him a reputation of a mad genius at work, hence the title “Dr”.

For the Converse 1HUND(RED), Dr. Romanelli covered the Chuck Taylor in a pattern of antiquated bandages, each with functional perforations. The clear sole exposed an imprint of a human skull diagram on the bottom. While the interior is imprinted with graphics of a human dissection, copied directly from a medical textbook."
