The bulk of Peter Callesen’s work is made from plain white sheets of A4 paper, chosen for the symbolism as well as the color and size.
“By taking away all the information and starting from scratch using the blank white A4 paper sheet for my creations, I feel I have found a material that we are all able to relate to, and at the same time the A4 paper sheet is neutral and open to fill with different meaning. The thin white paper gives the paper sculptures a frailty that underlines the tragic and romantic theme of my works.”

Absolutely amazing! The materials are so simple, yet the craftsmanship and attention to detail is elaborate. I also appreciate the paradoxical dimensionality of the paper.
Thanks for posting this! Callesen has a great sense of design, seen especially in how he illustrates opposing ideas through the positive/negative spaces and forms he creates.
Well Done, very inspirational and detailed. Nice simple visual approach to invoking response of the heart/mind.

this is just amazing. i really enjoy the fragility of the whole body of work.
Very very cool – not often I see a classic art form (you modern day DaVinci you!) so refreshing and FRESH. Compliments. It has craft, science and beauty bundled into one. Leonardo I am sure would be proud!
Love the shoes too!
