Lisa Black is an artist based in Auckland New Zealand. Her current series of sculptures entitled “Fixed” combines taxidermy creatures and mechanical parts to form beautiful amalgamations of natural and industrial parts.
Lisa Black has finally updated the animals around us with some much-needed upgrades. Mechanical eyes, gears in torsos, and a few bolts for good measure. Instead of just doing the traditional taxidermy, she recreates creatures in a fantastic new way.” -Instructables.com
