Amy Carroll Reinthaler

Inspired by MRI scans, x-rays, and endoscopies, Amy Carroll Reinthaler creates "visceral expressions of human experience, identity, and the phenomena that occur when we are given the opportunity to gaze inside our own bodies."  Her paintings become colorful abstract interpretations of the diagnostic images with the anatomy becoming soft and subtle.Amy received her Master of Fine Arts from the Glasgow School of Art in 2011.[via the lovely Laura Fox]
