Anatomic Fashion Friday: Bird Brain

Bird-Brain-Erin-Jessica-King.jpg

Drawing upon inspiration from her lab coordinators for the human anatomy course at the University of Colorado, Erin Jessica King created this piece using the analogy that the midbrain, pons, medulla oblongata, and the cerebellum collectively,

"Are what anatomists describe to their students as looking like the body and wing of a hummingbird."

Very cool way and artistic way to teach anatomy. Hope Erin produces more anatomical prints like these!
