The Vanita collection by Vladi Rapaport. Simply Amazing. I love the foot stool, but I’m pretty sure that chair should be in every single classroom. and bedroom. and kitchen.

A collection of products inspired by the Dutch “vanitas” still life paintings from the 16th and 17th century. The characteristic type of symbolic still life painting is the one where the symbols of emptiness, time and death were placed on the canvas as a reminder of the vanity of one’s earthly life.

Oh V, so clever
The chair is lovely but the brain bothers me…maybe from seeing so many multiplely flattened and pancaked on top of one another in antiquarian brain jars. I could never really cozy up to spines, either. I had an entire box of them as samples, maybe 25 or so, which begged to have something done with them but coul dnever figure it out. Maybe the “S” shape was just too lazy.
