Google’s contextual advertising may lead to heart attack
Ok so maybe that headline is a bit dramatic, but just take a close look at this screen capture of Yahoo! News.

Google ads work by scanning a page for keywords and placing ads that relate to the keywords in the advertising space. So obviously ‘coffee’ came up numerous times in that article and so the Google computer gods placed an ad for delicious Folgers coffee right next to it.
We are constantly being bombarded with contradicting messages mainly through advertising, so it’s no wonder that most of America can’t make sound health care decisions on their own.
Sadly I think that the ad wins over the message in the headline. How can anyone resist a second cup of heart-attack-triggering coffee?
